Let me just start by saying that they have the BEST Parathas in town! Located as a relatively small restaurant in Vadapalani, Mithai Mandir is the best Rajasthani restaurant in Chennai. I can guarantee you that you’ll never leave this place with an empty stomach!

Every time I visited this Rajasthani restaurant in Chennai, I got my food without much wait – irrespective of the crowd present! I had tried the unlimited Rajasthani thali in Chennai here, which had 2 delicious sabzis, dal, rotis and rice with total quantity. If you’d ask me to pick just one item that I would go back for, it was the delicious moong dal dessert.

Much like the name goes, Utsav is a celebration of the different flavours and masalas of Rajasthan. You’ll be seated in a royal ambience, greeted by polite servers, and served authentic Rajasthani cuisine. Though the thali comprises small portions, they allow multiple servings.

Sree Agarwal Bhojanalay, an authentic place to have Rajasthani thali in Chennai, is located in Sowcarpet. It’s the best option for a quick and filling lunch in between a tiring workday. Most of their menu can be prepared for my Jain friends as well!

MADRAS Global Veg Kitchen is a multi-cuisine restaurant that is one of my personal favourites. Every time I’ve visited the restaurant (which is, a lot), the taste of their food remains the same. Complemented by excellent customer service and ambience, this is easily the best Rajasthani restaurant in Chennai.

This was my list of the 15 Rajasthani restaurants in Chennai for a heartfelt and delicious meal. Each of these restaurants has its own flavors and delicacies – a different balance of masalas, amount of ghee, and the overall taste. However, they all are bound together by the Rajasthani flavors.
