Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi : Land of Superheroes

Warner Bros-World Abu Dhabi

Bruce Wayne — who doesn’t know the name? He is a billionaire who, deprived of his parents at a young age because of crime, has made it his life’s mission to wage war against Gotham City’s criminals as the high-tech vigilante superhero Batman.

If you are a Batman fan, you’d love the Batman theme park in Abu Dhabi. Well, technically, it’s not a Batman theme park, but the first-ever Warner Bros. branded indoor theme park in the world, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi.

Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi

Warner Bros. World is one of the three world-class theme parks on Yas Island, a premier entertainment and leisure destination in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Stroll around the park and pose with your favorite Warner Bros. film, TV, and comic characters, or experience the many thrilling, themed rides with your family.

Warner Bros. World Has Six Distinct Areas or Lands

1. Warner Bros. Plaza: This is the central plaza, with striking architecture and a distinct art deco, old Hollywood vibe.

2. Bedrock: Located east-southeast of the Plaza, Bedrock has a Stone Age theme, which is fitting because it is a land devoted to The Flintstones and The Rubbles. If you grew up watching Fred, Wilma, and Pebbles, be sure to check this out.

3. Dynamite Gulch:  Are you a fan of Roadrunner and his archenemy Wile E. Coyote? You should experience the famous (and ingeniously named) Fast and Furry-ous ride on Dynamite Gulch, a cartoon version of the Southwest American desert located north of Bedrock.

4. Cartoon Junction: Get your whimsy ready at Cartoon Junction, found northeast of the Plaza. This is where your favorite cartoon characters converge. Meet Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tom and Jerry, Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Taz, Tweety, Sylvester, and Elmer Fudd, either as walking, talking, and breathing park characters or as figures on themed rides.

5. Gotham City: North-northwest of the Plaza lies the land of Batman and his supervillains.

6. Metropolis:  Superman’s domain lies south of Gotham City, west to southwest of the Plaza. Of particular interest to this writeup are the two lands based on fictional DC Comics cities: Gotham and Metropolis.

Gotham: Land of Batman and the Supervillains

Among the many DC comics superheroes, very few have attained the iconic status of Batman. His story is so popular that even the supervillains that plague his existence (or does Batman plague theirs?) have their own cult following. Batman’s enemies are just so memorable, that Warner Bros. even makes movies about them (e.g., Joker).

Gotham in Warner Bros. World brings to life the dark and gritty world of Batman and his supervillains. You will immediately recognize it for its city skyline, the Bat Signal, and the Batmobile. You can also enjoy the following attractions.

Batman Knight Flight

Ride the Batmobile and patrol Gotham City with Batman and your friends in Batman: Knight Flight. The story: You are recruited to test pilot the latest Batmobile prototype, and you take an exhilarating ride, climbing and spinning in the city’s dark skies.

Scarecrow Scare Raid

Jonathan Crane is the Scarecrow, a twisted villain who is a product of his own father’s diabolical fear experiments. Growing up, he decided to control fear rather than let it control him. Thus, he preys on people by using toxins to awaken in them their worst nightmares. Get on the Scarecrow Scare Raid if you wish to experience his wicked plot for yourself.

In this attraction, you will ride a jet-like contraption affixed to a 360-degree spinning arm, which, in turn, is connected to a rotating central column. This ride will have you rotating and spinning for a fun and fear-filled, dizzying time.

The Riddler Revolution

Edward Nygma is a genius who has a psychological compulsion to leave Batman puzzling over his crimes. He challenges Batman by committing crimes and creating elaborate traps, then leaving obscure pieces of clues for Batman to figure out, thus his name Riddler.

In Riddler Revolution, you ride an eerily lit disc that spins while it slides up and down and totters on its tracks in an old, abandoned warehouse. The lights, sounds, and smoke all contribute to a rousingly thrilling psychological ride.

Metropolis: Land of Superman

Next to Gotham City in Warner Bros. World lies Metropolis, the fictional city of the superhuman superhero Superman and his human alter, Clark Kent, and the great love of his life, Lois Lane.

It is not only Superman that thrives in Warner Bros. World’s representation of the City of Tomorrow. Here, you will also meet and find other Justice League Heroes, such as Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and The Flash.

Explore Metropolis and find the following attractions:

Superman 360: Battle for Metropolis

Superman is the Man of Steel who fights for truth and justice, a caped superhero who can fly, is virtually indestructible, and has superspeed, superstrength, and x-ray vision, among other powers. He is of the planet Krypton, but he was raised in Smallville, Kansas.

Experience a day in Superman’s life as he protects the peace; try the Superman 360: Battle for Metropolis. This 3D ride is the quintessential battle between good and evil. Immerse yourself in a 3D projection show and see what it feels like to be Superman.

Green Lantern: Galactic Odyssey

Green Lantern is the story of an ordinary human entrusted with the power ring of an alien in charge of the Earth’s space sector after this alien’s spaceship crashed on Earth. While he had to learn a lot of things, to begin with, Hal eventually distinguished himself as one of the most legendary members of the elite Green Lantern Corps.

It’s your chance to experience Hal Jordan’s point of view. Ride this 4D flying theater attraction and see what it feels like to slug it out with the universe’s enemies in this galactic battle.

Justice League: Warworld Attacks

Justice League is the ultimate clique. It has superheroes for members, and together they help maintain peace and save the Earth from catastrophic threats.

Justice League: Warworld Attacks is an immersive 5D ride that will let you join the exclusive Justice League in their fight against Mongul and his army.
