1. An Odd-Looking Haunted Tree at Chandkeda
Chandkeda is that kind of a place that will not feel right when you pass through it. Personally, for me, it was dark and intense to be around the place. My guide told me that it is not uncommon for people to feel tremors in and around the area.
There is an odd-looking tree in Chandkeda, and locals are said to believe that a ghost lives on it. This is one of the top haunted places in Ahmedabad and was one of the eeriest places I visited.
2. Of a Woman and Galloping Horses – Signature Farm
Signature Farm would have made for the perfect picnic spot if not for the spook-tag attached to it. A dimly lit space with broken statues scattered all over, Signature Farm is one of the top haunted places in Ahmedabad. The locals say they avoid going there post-sunset because they have heard noises of a woman and even horses galloping come from the building.
Hearing these tales from the locals made the visit to Signature Farm even spookier.
3. The Haunting of Unseen Spirits – Dumas Beach
A famous tourist spot in the city is now one of the top haunted places in Ahmedabad. I visited the beach a little late in the evening, and the shore did give out eerie vibes due to the quietness that prevailed. While talking to the locals there, they claimed to have heard weird noises and sensed commotion at night. They even told me that dogs, being animals that can feel the presence of spirits and ghosts, have behaved abnormally creepily.
Dumas beach is a popular tourist attraction and one of the most famous haunted places in Ahmedabad.
Sola road has become a famous haunted place in Ahmedabad, thanks to a flat situated in Akash Ganga on the road. People who live in and around Sola Road say that the flat was purchased and remodeled by a man a couple of years back. Upon moving in with his family, they started experiencing paranormal activities, including hearing noises of women screaming and wailing. When he checked with his neighbours, it turned out that none of them had heard any of the noises he mentioned.
The family soon moved out of the house, fearing sanity and safety, and since then, the entire road has been almost always empty and considered one of the top haunted places in Ahmedabad.
5. Invisible Woman With a Presence – Gujarat Technological University
Educational institutes are usually far from being tagged to hauntings and eerie occurrences, but Gujarat Technological University is an exception. It is one of the most haunted places in Ahmedabad. Here, I was told that both students and the college faculty have seen strange events occur in and around the campus.
Of all the tales, this one stayed with me even after the trip – someone felt a woman’s presence when he was in an elevator within the university, and it scared him so much that he turned mentally ill.
To date, people stay cautious while on campus. If you find this intriguing, you must add it to your list of haunted places in Ahmedabad you want to visit.
6. Lothal – Are you being watched?
Lothal is a famous tourist destination in Ahmedabad, with the old city’s remains that give the place an ancient look. As the sun sets, towering shadows cover the place, making it seem haunted. People claim that they felt uneasily watched throughout the time they were here. On my visit to Lothal, I did feel eerie energy around; however, I did not feel like I was being watched or followed.
Although no incident has been officially registered, the tales that have been spun around are strong enough to make it one of the most famous haunted places in Ahmedabad.
On my visit to Sindhrot, I unearthed the creepiest of stories that I have heard from the different haunted places in Ahmedabad I visited. Sindhrot is a small town, a little away from Ahmedabad. It is said that both locals and visitors have been scared away by creepy whispers asking them never to come back again. Some even claim to have seen a woman clad in white kurti with a disfigured face walking around the town.
My visit to Sindhrot was a quiet one, and of course, the tales made me look around and wonder what I would do if I came face to face with the lady in white. But, tough luck, I did not see or hear anything in the unsettling town of Sindhrot, known to be one of the haunted places in Ahmedabad.
