If you wish to spend most of your time wandering around the town and witnessing some picture-perfect moments, April to June is the best time to visit Dalhousie. The temperature ranges between 18 degrees to 29 degrees during these months – the perfect weather to explore the places to visit in Dalhousie!
How To Reach Dalhousie?
You can reach Dalhousie via a flight, train, or road.
a. Flight: You can take a flight to Pathankot Airport, 75 kilometres from Dalhousie, and then take a bus or cab to Dalhousie.
b. Train: Dalhousie is 80 kilometres from Pathankot, which is well connected to numerous Indian cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, and Amritsar. To reach Dalhousie, a bus or cab ride can be taken from the Pathankot station.
c. Road: Local buses from Kangra, Dharamshala, Khajjiar, and Chamba cost approximately INR 150/- each. The NH1 can also go to Dalhousie, and the journey will take about 10 hours.

The Panchpula quenches the entire town’s thirst, including nearby villages and towns. Visiting these waterfalls and stepping into the cold rushing water filled my family and me with joy that stays with me to date. Here, you’ll also find the samadhi of our freedom fighter, Sardar Ajit Singh. So, if you’re someone who enjoys hiking as much as I do, you should add the Panchpula waterfalls to your list of the places to visit in Dalhousie.
3. Rang Mahal – an architectural treat!
Dalhousie hides one of the most aesthetic mahal influenced by British and Mughal cultures. Visit the Rang Mahal and find unique architecture and small surprises in every corner! Wandering through the beautiful mahal, we also spotted paintings narrating the life of Lord Krishna.
4. Sach Pass – a picturesque trek!
The next in our list of places to visit near Dalhousie is Sach Pass, a trekker’s paradise. Sach Pass is in Sach town, Chamba district. The peak is located at 14500 ft, and the trail will lead you to the beautiful Panga valley. After that, you can weather your trekking shoes and start adventuring!

9. Lakshmi Narayan Temple – Experience Moments of Peace.
The Lakshmi Narayan Temple is the most peaceful place near Dalhousie. The fascinating aspect of this location is that it is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. It is also an essential architectural attraction erected in the Shikhara style by the Kings of Chamba.

The top of the hill is barren of any vegetation. The name ‘bald hill’ comes from its barrenness. The hill is great for a climb and one of the top spots to visit in Dalhousie because of the mesmerising views of the surroundings and the pure mountain air.
